Champion Web

Refunds

Version 1.0. In effect from 22 October 2026.

  1. The short version
    1. We can’t refund a change of mind, because the registry charges us as soon as your domain name is registered. The exception is a new .au domain name, which you can cancel within 3 days for a full refund (section 3). If something’s wrong with your order, email support@championweb.com and we’ll look into it. Your rights under consumer law always apply (section 6).
  2. When we refund in full
    1. We refund what you paid, in full, when:
      1. we can’t register a domain name you’ve paid for; or
      2. we charged you by mistake, or charged you twice.
    2. Other refunds are at our discretion. If you made a mistake, such as a typo in a domain name, tell us straight away. A registry usually lets a new registration be cancelled only for a few days after it’s made, and while it does, we may be able to cancel it and refund you.
  3. Cooling-off for .au domain names
    1. auDA’s rules give every .au domain name a cooling-off period of 3 days, starting when it’s registered. If you email support@championweb.com within those 3 days to cancel it, we’ll cancel it and refund what you paid for it in full. Once it’s cancelled, the name is released and anyone can register it.
  4. Renewals
    1. With auto-renew on, we email you 60 days before a registration ends and charge your card 30 days before. If you don’t want a domain name renewed, turn auto-renew off in your control panel before the charge.
    2. If you were charged for a renewal you didn’t want, email us as soon as you notice and we’ll look into it.
  5. Vouchers
    1. We can’t refund a change of mind for a voucher either. If something’s wrong with a voucher you bought, email us. A voucher we refund is cancelled, and a voucher you’ve already used can’t be refunded.
  6. Your rights under consumer law
    1. Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws. If a service we supply fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a refund whatever this page says. Clause 10 of our Terms of Service explains these rights.
  7. How refunds are paid
    1. We refund to the card you paid with, and email you when the refund has gone through. Your bank decides how long it takes to reach your statement, usually a few business days.
    2. When we refund a domain name, we turn its auto-renew off and tell you whether it stays registered to you until its term ends or is cancelled.
  8. Disputes with your bank
    1. Please email us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster that way.
